April 8, 2026 School Board Meeting - Steve Beaulieu

Hello Re-2 families,

This week we had the opportunity to visit Cactus Valley Elementary for our meeting. CVE is celebrating solid performance growth continuing their upward trajectory, adding to years of success. The amazing staff shared some of their struggles and their innovative plans to reach all of our students.

Re-2 is proud to celebrate Colorado Centers of Excellence Award for Wamsley Elementary for exceptional growth statewide and Rifle High School winning the Ninth Grade Success grant to support students as they transition into high school math. These are two of the latest demonstrations of the tireless effort and dedication our teachers and staff have to give the very best education to our students.

District Accountability Committee shared their last meeting where they reviewed school safety protocols, grant funding opportunities and developed a plan for Parent Teacher groups in each school to work together, share ideas to maximize impact. DAC is a great opportunity for parents to stay informed and have their voices heard. I encourage parents to attend a DAC meeting h to sit and listen or to dive in.

The board has started a full review of district policies to ensure they are up to date and aligned. We completed section A this week and will continue working through the rest.
