New hires

Congratulations.... You have been selected to be a part of the Garfield Re-2 team! Your principal or administrator has submitted a recommendation to hire you, and it is now being processed. This page will guide you through the Human Resources onboarding process. Please read it carefully, and we will be contacting you soon! The HR Team


Please allow five (5) business days to process the Recommendation to Hire; however, the length of this process may vary depending on the time of the year and the information provided on your online application. You will be contacted by the Human Resources once the Recommendation is approved by the Board of Education.


Once your Recommendation to Hire is approved, you will receive the new hire paperwork along with your appointment letter through TalentEd Records, our electronic on-boarding system. You will be notified directly from TalentEd via email. We urge you to check your inbox and junk folder frequently until you receive the email from TalentEd.


Once you log into TalentEd Records by following the directions in the email, please initiate the on-boarding process by completing all the required tasks, which may include benefits and insurance packages offered by Garfield School District Re-2.


Please contact Stacy Jones, Human Resources Specialist at 970-665-7641 or, to schedule a time to complete the I-9 Verification, fingerprinting and issue your employee badge. This visit must occur before your first day of employment. Any questions or concerns regarding benefits and/or insurances can be addressed during your visit.


Principals and/or administrators will recommend an estimated starting date. The HR staff will work closely with you and other departments to meet that expected date. HR reserves the right to determine your starting date depending on the completion of your paperwork; you will not be allowed to begin work without the completion of an I-9 Verification by an HR staff member.


HR will notify the Instructional Technology Department only once you have completed all of the paperwork as well as the I-9 Verification. Please allow us five (5) business days to create all technology-related account(s) and deliver any device(s), if required.


The Human Resources Department reserves the right to place you on the salary schedule based on your level of education and experience and/or contractual provisions. Salary Schedule are available under 2018/2019 Salary Schedules on the Human Resources page. As a Certified Staff member, Principal, Assistant Principal, Director or other Administrator, you will receive a contract via the TalentEd portal after your Recommendation to Hire has been approved and your new hire paperwork has begun.
