Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP)

The Garfield RE-2 School District is committed to preparing all students for postsecondary and workforce success. Our Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) process supports students in grades K–12 with a developmentally appropriate series of activities that guide career exploration, academic planning, and personal goal setting.

What is an ICAP?

An Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) is a student-driven, ongoing process that actively engages youth in owning their learning and career planning. Students explore careers, reflect on interests and strengths, and make meaningful connections between school and the world of work. ICAPs are part of Colorado’s graduation requirements.
