UPDATED 25-26 Benefits Guide
Dear Garfield Re-2 Family,
At the April 9, 2025 School Board meeting, the Board of Directors approved an amended benefits package.
At the request of the Board and following much input from Re-2 Staff members, Collaborative Solutions went back to the drawing board to rework the District’s benefit scenarios. Their goal has been to align the benefits package with our current budget constraints, and their benefits philosophy.
The approved benefits package for 25-26 now reflects the following changes:

The employee contribution for a single employee remains the same;

The employee contribution for both the EE+Spouse and the EE+Family options has been reduced;

The employee contribution for EE+child and 2 EE+ Family each increased by $85;

There is no longer a $50 contribution to the Health Savings Account;

The initial $700,000 in savings is now included as part of the benefits package. This money is no longer available for part of the compensation conversation;
The new benefits schedule is attached. We understand that changes like these can be complex. That’s why we’re working hard to create updated, easy-to-understand documents to help you navigate the changes. We’ll send these out as soon as they’re ready.

All staff members must meet in person with the Garfield Re-2 Human Resources team to complete your benefits enrollment. These meetings are also a great opportunity to ask questions and get clarity on the benefit changes directly from the HR team.
