Meet the Transportation Staff

Mike Dunlap is a Part Time Bus Driver. He has been with the Transportation Team for a little over 2 years.  

He describes his day to day role as always something different.   He really enjoys getting to know the students and working with them.  

Loree Nigo is a Full Time Bus Driver. hSe has been with the Transportation Team for over 19 years.    

She describes her day-to-day role as busy,  she “loves her work”  and likes being with the kids and watching them grow.  

Her favorite part about our team is how the team members work so well together.  Her biggest inspiration comes from others with whom she works.  

Kathy Olson is a Full-Time Bus Driver. She has been with the Transportation Team for over 14 years.

She describes her day-to-day role as starting the day very early, preparing the buses for the day, and really enjoys seeing all of the students daily.  Her favorite part about our team is that we work together to help each other. 

Jacinto Iniguez is a Full-time OTR Bus Driver. He has been with the Transportation Team for over 30 years.

He describes his day to day role as always something different. He enjoys taking students on trips for sports and special events. His favorite part about our team is that the team is always ready to help each other.

Natalie Suarez is a Part-time Bus Attendant. She has been with the Transportation Team for over 4 months.

She describes her day to day role as making sure students are happy, she enjoys helping students and learning about each one individually. Her favorite part about our team is that everyone works together and has fun together.  

Carl Schmecel is a Part-time Bus Driver, he has been with the Transportation Team for over six years.   He describes his day-to-day role as making sure students are happy; he enjoys helping students any way he can. 

Cheri Ruark is a Part-time Bus Driver; she has been with the Transportation Team for over 14 years. 

She describes her day-to-day role as being busy and enjoying working with the students! Her favorite part about our team is how the members of the team work together. “We are like a family!”  

Gail Coombs is a Substitute Bus Driver; she has been with the Transportation Team for over 26 years. She describes her day-to-day role as being busy and enjoying working with the students.  Her favorite part about our team is that it is like a family; everyone is different, but all get along and are friendly.

Her biggest inspiration is from the team itself and how well the team works together.   She says the most unique part about working in the department is the flexibility of the schedule.

Mike Kosec is a Full-time OTR Bus Driver, he has been with the Transportation Team for over 5 years.    

He describes his day-to-day role as having to be flexible and enjoys watching the students grow.  His favorite part about our team is that the team is quite diversified and that everyone has a genuine concern for each other.     His biggest inspiration comes from being able to drive with a well-maintained fleet of vehicles.  

Charlotte Hicks is a Full-time Bus Driver. She has been with the Transportation Team for over 10 years.  

She describes her day-to-day role as being busy and enjoying having fun with the students on her bus! Her favorite part about our team is how the members of the team like to have fun together.   Her biggest inspiration is from the team itself, everyone is protective and really care about the students!

Rick Christner is a Substitute Bus Driver. He has been with the Transportation Team for over 20 years. 

He describes his day-to-day role as crazy busy, but he enjoys working with the students! His favorite part about our team is all of the members of the team and how they all work together.   

Sue Steckel is the Driver Trainer for our team, she has been with the Transportation Team for over 27 years.  

She describes her day to day role as busy and always something new.  Her favorite part about our department is having fun and laughing with all of her co-workers.   Her biggest inspiration comes from the time spent at our Potluck lunches with her team members.

Juan Muy Salvatierra is a Mechanic for our team; he has been with the Transportation Team for almost 3 years. 

He describes his day-to-day role as busy and always something different.  He says he has to be flexible and work independently.  

Joyce Terry is a Part Time Bus Driver. She has been with the Transportation Team for a little over 3 years.  

She describes her day-to-day role as being different every day.  Her favorite part about our department is knowing that there are team members who have your back and are willing to help each other.  

Her biggest inspiration is from her co-worker, Starla,  “Starla is always happy and it has been really nice to have someone to go to and know that they will lift your spirits, listen, or give you a hug if you need it”.

Starla Spaulding is a Part-Time Bus Driving Attendant. She has worked for the District for 40 years.

She describes her day to day role as helping and comforting students and also helping her team members.  Her favorite part about our team is the people she works with.

Sheila Berner is a Substitute Bus Driver, she has been with the Transportation Team for a little over 20 years.

She describes her day to day role as busy, interacting with all of the students. Her favorite part about our team is the friendship and camaraderie.

Patrick Tonozzi is a Full Time Bus Driver, he has been with the Transportation Team for a little over 1 year.

He describes his day to day role as having to be flexible, he loves seeing the students every day and is very busy between routes working on seat repairs on buses.

Tammy Nelson is a Full Time Bus Driver. She has been with the Transportation Team for close to 12 years.    

She describes her day-to-day role as busy and exciting!  The more work she has, the more she likes it!   Her favorite part about our team is working with the students and having flexibility in the schedule between routes.

Jay Valentine is a Bus Driver Attendant for specialized transport.

He has been with the Transportation Team for six years.    

Krystal Banks is a Part-Time Route Driver and a CDL Tester, she has been with the Transportation Team for a little over 6 years.

She describes her day to day role as busy and enjoys interacting with all of the people. Her favorite part about our team is the way everyone gets along and works with each other.

Jeff Harrison is a Full Time Bus Driver and he has been with the Transportation Team for close to a year.    

He describes his day-to-day role as busy and fun! His favorite part about our team is how friendly and accepting everyone is. 

Bobby Branham is the Garfield Re-2 Router/Scheduler. He has been with the Transportation Team for a little over 2 years.

He describes his day-to-day role as busy, busy, busy!

Bill Krejci is a Substitute Route Bus Driver. He has worked for the Transportation Team for over 14 years and with the school district for more than 42 years.

Bill recently retired from our Transportation Router Position and has transitioned to the position of Substitute Route Bus Driver. He describes his day-to-day role as never having a dull moment - every day is different.

Kaitlin Branham is a Route Bus Attendant, she has worked for the Transportation Team for almost 8 months.

She describes her day to day role as fun and full of laughter. Her favorite part of the team is the caring and kindness that everyone shows each other, treating each other like family. She feels that her biggest accomplishment has been learning how to work with the “awesome” students and loving doing it.

Richard Eaton is a Route Bus Driver and the Clean Team Lead, he has worked for the Transportation Team for 8 years.

He describes his day-to-day role as ever-changing; there is always something new and different - which he loves.

Greg Lippoldt is a Mechanic. He has been with the Transportation Team for close to 2 years.    Greg works on vehicles for the district and fills in as a Route Bus Driver when necessary.
