This year, Garfield Re-2 is launching My Ride K-12, a free, secure tool that puts your student’s bus information right at your fingertips and helps us keep you informed when transportation schedules change.

Please set up My Ride K-12 before the first day of school.

My Ride K-12 is available as a free app from the Apple App Store and Google Play, or you can access it from a computer at myridek12.tylerapp.com. The parent guide includes instructions for both the web and mobile versions.

With My Ride K-12, you can access your student’s:

  • Bus number
  • Bus stop location
  • Estimated pick-up and drop-off times
  • Transportation updates and notifications

Families will continue to receive District-wide information about school closures and other important school information through ParentSquare.

How does it work?
Students who ride the bus are given an RFID card. Students will scan their card when they get on and off their bus. The scan will show when students have boarded or exited their bus and will also alert bus drivers if a student boards the wrong bus. Transportation will have a record of attendance on the bus, just like attendance is kept every day in our schools.

Important Bus Pass Reminders

Every Garfield Re-2 student will receive a bus pass for the 2026–2027 school year.

  • Please do not punch holes in the bus pass. Punching a hole in the card can disable it.
  • Bus passes are assigned to individual students. Please do not share passes, even with brothers, sisters, or other family members.

During the First Few Weeks

Bus pick-up and drop-off times are estimates and may fluctuate, particularly during the first few days of school as students and drivers become familiar with their routes.

Please have your student at the bus stop and ready to board at the scheduled time, and use My Ride K-12 for the most current transportation information.

The complete My Ride K-12 Parent User Guide will be sent through ParentSquare, and provided at Back-to-School events

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Garfield Re-2 Transportation Office at 970-665-7630.
