Garfield Re-2 Policies
DD
The Board is to be kept informed of all possible sources of government or private funds outside regular district sources being considered for district funding for the support of the schools and/or for the enhancement of educational opportunities in the district.
To ensure coordination and avoid confusion in developing proposals and making applications for specially funded projects, the superintendent shall establish standard procedures for the preparation of proposals and their review.
The superintendent shall submit all proposals for federal aid and special grants to the Board for approval. In the event that an opportunity arises to submit a grant proposal and there is insufficient time to place it before the Board, the superintendent shall be authorized to exercise judgment in approving it for submission. The superintendent shall review the grant proposal with the Board no later than the next Board meeting thereafter.
