Garfield Re-2 Policies

EDC-Authorized Use of School Equipment

Requests for community use of school-owned equipment will fall under one of the following classifications, which will be used to determine fees.

 

Group I - No charge; however, a deposit may be required.

 

Group II - Same as above

 

Group III - A use fee may be charged.

 

Group IV - Individuals, groups, and organizations whose primary purpose is for personal use, profit-making or commercial may be charged a use fee commensurate with fees charged by area rental agencies.

 

School equipment may be loaned when:

 

1. The individual or group borrowing the equipment agrees to accept responsibility for repairing or replacing any equipment damaged or lost while in its possession.

 

2.  The equipment is not unusually expensive and subject to easy damage.

 

3. The equipment is in good condition.

 

4. A competent operator will be provided for any machine loaned.

 

5. Outside use of the equipment will not interfere with the school program.

 

Only the superintendent, building principals, or other district officials authorized by the superintendent may lend district property.

 

Any individual borrowing school equipment must sign an official receipt.  A deposit and/or reasonable service fee may be required as determined by the principal, superintendent, or other authorized district official.
