Teacher Positions

The Board believes that the major responsibility of a teacher is to provide an effective instructional program in the classroom.  This responsibility involves long-range and immediate preparation and planning, the understanding and application of sound professional methods and the development and maintenance of effective student, parent and community relationships.

Each teacher shall keep informed of policies and regulations established by the Board and administration and shall work in accordance with them.

A teacher is charged with certain other duties required by law and Board policy.  These include such areas as student registration and records, student discipline, reporting to parents, supervision of students and performing inventories of district property.

Each teacher shall be under the authority, direction and supervision of the building administrator and shall follow his directions and cooperate at all times.
