Parent Conferences, Staff Meetings, and School Meetings

Teacher meetings shall be held at the district and building levels.  Teachers shall be expected to attend system and building meetings unless excused for an unavoidable reason by the principal or superintendent. Strategic Planning Days and Workdays take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The regular school day is 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  

Schools may adjust strategic planning day and workday times as long as the adjustment still meets the 8-hour time frame. Building administration will communicate any changes with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in advance.   

Teachers report to their buildings unless otherwise instructed on strategic plan days and workdays.

Due to the one-hour reduction in contract time for each work/strategic planning day throughout the school year, 12 of those work hours will be used throughout the school year for parent-teacher conferences.
