Vocational/Technical Education

The Board of Education supports the concept that achieving employability is a fundamental need of every citizen in a democratic society.  While it is the responsibility of all teachers to heighten awareness of students as to the contribution that every area of study offers to career development, specific vocational programs shall be offered by the district for students who need vocational skills to enter the workforce upon graduation from high school.

The curriculum and equipment used by students shall relate to current technology and teach skills that are up-to-date with current practices in the occupational fields.

Such programs may be provided under contract with outside agencies.
