Student Use of the Internet and Electronic Communications

Annual Responsible Use Agreement

For Students:

I have carefully read and fully understand the school district’s Responsible Use Agreement (RUA). I agree to abide by this policy and recognize that any violation of this policy or misuse of district technology resources, including hardware, software, the Internet, and electronic communications, may result in the revocation of my access privileges. I also understand that disciplinary actions, monetary restitution, and/or legal consequences may follow.

If I am 18 years of age or older, I hereby release the school district from any liabilities, including costs, claims, damages, or losses resulting from my use of district technology resources. This includes but is not limited to, any fees or charges that arise from the purchase of goods or services while using district technology.

I understand that the district is dedicated to protecting my data by following strict security measures, limiting access to personal information (PI), and complying with relevant laws, privacy regulations, and district policies.

I acknowledge that I have read and understood the district’s RUA, and I agree to comply with its terms.

For Parents/Guardians (If the student is under 18):

As the parent or legal guardian of this student, I have reviewed and understand the school district’s Responsible Use Agreement (RUA). I recognize that the district has taken reasonable measures to restrict access to inappropriate materials and provide internet access for educational purposes.

I release the school district from any liabilities, including costs, claims, damages, or losses resulting from my child's use of district technology resources. This includes but is not limited to, any fees or charges that arise from the purchase of goods or services while using district technology.

I understand that the district is dedicated to protecting student data by following strict security measures, limiting access to personal information (PI), and complying with relevant laws, privacy regulations, and district policies. I grant permission for my child’s teacher(s) to manage online access for educational purposes in accordance with district guidelines and privacy policies.

I acknowledge I have read and understand the school district’s RUA. I give permission for my child to access and use the district’s technology resources, including the Internet and electronic communications.
