Garfield Re-2 School District Responsible Use Agreement (RUA)

As a member of the Garfield RE-2 educational community, I will use technology to enhance my learning, collaborate with others, and explore new ideas responsibly and respectfully, both at school and at home. By doing so, I will support the district's goal of preparing academically strong, empowered, and community-connected graduates. This agreement applies to all Garfield RE-2 technology resources, including but not limited to, devices, software, networks, internet access, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.

  • Research, complete assignments, and collaborate with classmates and teachers.
  • Access content that supports my academic growth.

  • Protect my personal information and the district’s data by securing my device, preventing unauthorized access, using strong passwords and only accessing my own account.
  • Recognize and understand that district technology will be monitored and use it responsibly and respectfully.
  • Practice positive digital citizenship, including appropriate behavior on all online platforms.
  • Question what personal information is needed from me when signing up for an online service to ensure I protect my personal data.

Independent Problem Solvers

I can:

  • Use digital tools to brainstorm ideas, organize information, and solve problems that enhance my learning.
  • Use these tools responsibly to support my problem-solving and decision-making while ensuring the work reflects my own understanding.
  • Be mindful of my digital footprint, so it accurately represents who I am.
